The land was, as far as the eye could see, blanketed with thick white coat and beyond, a dark, mist, almost charcoal, lay, undisturbed, veiling the high rolling hills, the town and the Clyde as if an opaque curtain had fallen during the night. Snow was falling in a wild flurry of flakes that twirled chaotically into the air.

A few years back, when the Contrast studio, in Queen Street, glasgow, was still open, I did the photoshoot of a father and son. Their relentless, candid and inspiring playfulness in front of the lens amazed me on that day.

Immaculate snow-covered the land and adorned the limbs of trees. Still, snowflakes twirled under the icy breeze of this December afternoon. A mist had set in, hiding the edge of hills and the wide of the Clyde.
